Engineering VS Politics

I am a LEAD ENGINEER of a new firm handling to sections and my first task are to propose and give a solution to the problem.

Project A

Politics

• The project A owner was our firm president friend. 
• The one who gave false information was the engineer of project A, he said 230V but the actual site needed were 440V.
• The owner should pay! the contractor should pay! (for the transformer)

Sometimes requires lawyers which cost a lot of time and money and the project is freeze.

This damages business and long term relation partner.

Engineering

• This part way our company paid for the transformer costs us time and money. Why did we? Because we have to make things work as early as possible to allot time for new projects. Records mistakes from previous and improve or innovate on the new once. Then continue the cycle.
•  I created a standard forms, checklist, work procedures, documented and signed. This form should be updated in case there is a new room for improvement.

To summarize:

Politics is a definition of blaming others people are dying the problem isn't solve and if there is the person will be penalize by money, imprisonment or death.

Engineering is the way of  solving the problem without blaming anyone. Summarizing the given or gathered data, analyzing and providing the best possible solution. 

Fundamentals of Engineers are open mind  we can solve problems with different solutions. There is a long term solution and a short one because we already have a data or table to look into and sometimes we just need to interpolate it. 

Engineers think we all make mistakes, wrong decision making, wrong judgement because we didn't have data as a reference. But even though we have data we make mistakes again. With mistakes we made we learn and sometimes we discover something new. New finding and new discovery. There is a point we your trying to work on a invention that can produce a certain output but it turns out another one with a different purpose.

Time is life and how do you want to use it?

There is a time when I try to imagine what if our Law Makers are categorize for each and every field of profession. Senators for Engineering fields (Civil works, Transportation, Business, Industrial, Power Plant, Water, Health, Safety, Agriculture, Environmental Protection, Aerospace, Marine, Education)
